The Colombo Chief Magistrate yesterday issued an order directing the Government Analyst to submit a report regarding productions obtained as part of investigations into the Central Bond issue
This is over the parallel magisterial inquiry conducted relating to the Bond issue on deleting phone call data from Perpetual Treasuries (PTL), the voice recording system and the alleged fabrication of evidence to the Bond Commission. Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne made this order considering a request made by Senior State Counsel Lakmini Girihagama.
Perpetual Treasuries Limited (PTL) owner Arjun Aloysius, CEO Kasun Palisena, former PTL Chief Dealer Nuwan Salgado and IT officer Sachitra Devarathanthri appeared before court.
The Magistrate fixed further inquiries for February 25.
