The Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Foreign Affairs are due to launch a combined effort to take action against notorious underworld kingpin Makandure Madush under the command of STF Commandant Senior DIG Mr. MR Latheef. They were interrogated after being arrested yesterd ay. They are currently in Dubai prison.
Blood samples have been taken from the suspects.
The Dubai Police had made the arrest during a birthday party celebration at a six-star class hotel in the capital. Dubai anti-narcotic police arrested 25 individuals for the possession and consumption of cocaine, heroin and other narcotics at this birthday bash. The party had been held for Makandure Madush’s son. Makandure’s paramour was also among the arrested.
Madhush and others have been reported as the leading media source in Dubai. They point out that a criminal wanted in Sri Lanka has been arrested in his country.
Dubai media reported that a large quantity of drugs had been found in their possession.
