Woman killed by container in Pokunuwita

A woman riding a scooter was crushed to death on the Panadura - Horana Road at Pokunuwita on Tuesday by a container.

The driver of the container fled after the incident. Subsequently, he surrendered to the Horana Police, who identified the victim as Shanthi Nayana (52) of Pokunuwita, Henegama, a mother of two.
