Man shot in Jinthupitiya

A 32-year-old man was injured in a shooting incident which took place near Maliban junction in Jinthupitiya, Colombo yesterday evening.

The victim, a resident of Logur Street, Colombo 13 was travelling in a trishaw when he was shot at by two unidentified gunmen riding a motorcycle at Hinniappuhamy Mawatha near Maliban junction around 6.45 pm, Police said.

The gunmen had fled after opening fire.The injured man is receiving treatment at the National Hospital.
