Ex-Import and Export Controller’s case on April 6

The Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne yesterday, fixed the corruption case filed against former Import and Export Controller Mahagamage Gamini for April 6. Mahagamage Gamini had allegedly solicited a bribe of Rs. 200,000 from a businessman in Weligama to provide through legal channels a report containing recommendations to import two vehicles from Japan which are about 10 years old.

Mahagamage is currently out of bail.

The Magistrate fixed further inquiries for April 6.
