Sena keeps country under siege – Semasinghe

An emergency situation should be declared in the country since the agriculture sector is under siege by Sena caterpillar, Anuradhapura District UPFA MP Shehan Semasinghe yesterday said.

He was addressing a press briefing at the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Headquarters at Battalamulla yesterday MP Semasinghe said the affected farmers should be compensated.

Semasinghe said the United National Party (UNP) is controlled by Tamil National Alliance (TNA) MP M.A. Sumanthiran. “Who is ruling the country now? Is it the President, the Prime Minister or the TNA?” he asked.
