Missing woman found after nine days

A 55-year-old mother of one, who had gone to the Madipola post office to collect her monthly allowance and gone missing for nine days, was found by Mullaitivu Police on Monday.

Galewela Police informed the relatives.

Later, her relatives had admitted her to Dambulla Weera Denzil Kobbekaduwa Base Hospital with the assistance of Galewela Police.

The woman was identified as Ihala Gedara Dayawathi of Nilannoruwa- Madipola.

The woman giving a statement to the police said on the day of the incident when she was returning home, two persons had come in a three-wheeler and abducted after threatening her.

Later, she was abandoned en route.

Galewela Police are investigating.
