STF officers return lost wallet to British couple

A British couple commended the Police Special Task Force (STF) when a group of officers attached to the Ulukkulama STF camp in Anuradhapura handed over the man’s lost wallet on Monday evening.

Jonathan David had recently lost his wallet while visiting the Wilpattu National Park with his wife. However, a group of STF officers led by Ulukkulama STF OIC IP H.M.K.M. Wijeratne, who had been on their way back from a raid at Kukulkatuwa, had found the wallet in the national park.

The officers had found Rs.21,666 in the wallet, along with four credit cards and a driving licence.

Jonathan David and his wife thanked the officers who took pains to return wallet to them.
