The launch ZamZam Foundation's ‘School with a Smile’ project was held at the BMICH on recently in the presence of many dignitaries. Zam Zam Foundation launched this project to enlighten school children.
The project supports the children who are considered as the leaders of tomorrow to pursue their education without any obstaclesOver the past four year, more than 46,000 students have benefited across Sri Lanka from the project. 15,000 students are expected to benefit this year.
"A Rs 3, 000 worth pack of school equipments could be almost nothing for us, but it is worth a million for these children who are suffering from poverty," noted some of the dignitaries who took part in the event.
Education is essential for children no matter what issues a family is going through. The drop rates at schools have been alarming. Parents find it a challenge to supply their children with the required stationary due to their low income. Therefore the children can go back to school with a smile armed with their gift pack of stationeries.
