A fine match bag of 9 for 49 by Anuka Jayasinghe enabled Sri Sumangala College Panadura to beat St. Mary's College Chilaw by 33 runs in their inter-school first eleven cricket match worked off at Chilaw.

Batting first Sumangalians were all out for 126 runs with Udith Irushika capturing 4 for 19. In reply Marians were all out for 115 runs and in their second essay visitors collapsed for 115 runs with Shanadith Fernando making the top score of 50 runs and Udith Irushika claimed 5 for 41 and set to make 127 runs for an outright win the homesters were all out for 104 runs.
