A splendid 104 runs by former Sri Lanka under 15 player Chamod Sandaru enabled Piliyandala Central College to beat formidable Devananda Vidyalaya Ambalangoda by 45 runs on first innings in their first eleven tournament cricket match worked off at Piliyandala and with this result Centralians are unbeaten this season with four outright victories and four first innings wins.

Chamod hit fourteen fours and three sixes and occupied the crease for 158 minutes and faced 133 balls and he was associated in a fifth wicket partnership of 115 runs with Ashen Rodrigo who contributed 34 runs. Chamod is an all rounder who bats right hand and opens the bowling attack with right arm medium pace bowling.

Batting first visitors piled up 267 runs with Shohan de Livera and Kavindu Rajapakse scoring 55 and 54 runs respectively and Heshan Madushanka captured 6 for 106. At one stage homesters were struggling at 36 for 3 and declared at 312 for 9 with Ruchira Adikari 48 and Sandun Sathsara scoring 41 runs with Sumudu Pramod Pramod bagging 3 for 8 runs and at stamps visitors were 119 for 2 with Sohan de Livera unbeaten on 67 runs. Centralians are coached by former Cambrian Cricketer Eranga Fernando.
