Carols and celebrations

St. Thomas' Catholic International College had its annual get together and carols "Quid Alma Nox" recently at the college grounds. Chief Guests at the event were Martin and Caarla Joissez while Joe, Wimal Karunarathna and Sasha Karunarathna also participated as special guests. Very Rev Fr Ciswaan De Croos, Episcopal Vicar for the Negombo Region placed the statue of baby Jesus in the crib to start off the evening of carol singing.

Rev.Fr.Anton Eumal, Rev. Fr. Raveen Sandasiri, Rev. Fr Srilal Fonseka Dean of the Bolawalana Deanery and parish priest in the Katuwapitiya church; together with many other invited Rev. Fathers, Rev. Sisters witnessed the talented performances of the Thomians. Artist Sanka Dineth with his band entertained the gathering at the carnival held after the carols. Appearance of Santa and the fireworks display added glamour to the night. Another specialty of the event was singing carols in Latin by students. All these were possible due to the untiring efforts taken by STIC Rector, Rev Fr Kennedy Perera, Vice Rector Rev Fr Malintha Chathuranga, Primary Principal, Rev Sr Nalini and all the staff members.
