The first eleven cricket captain and Sri Lanka Under 19 player Nishan Madushka proved his class when he notched up an unbeaten chanceless 105 runs in their second essay and fought a lone battle to bring his alma mater within sight of victory against the mighty Thomians in their inter school first eleven cricket match worked off at Moratuwa.

Chasing a target of 213 runs for an outright victory Vidyalians fell short by 47 runs with their chief run getter Nishan occupying the create and four wickets intact. Set to make 213 runs for an outright victory hoemsters were 165 for 6 at stumps.
