Kantale –A (Men’s) and Trincomalee –A (Women’s) Volleyball Teams were crowned as the overall champions in their Trincomalee District Governor Rohitha Bogollagama Cup Beach Volleyball Tournament which was held recently at the Trincomalee Beach.
This tournament was organized by Eastern Province Sports Director N.M.Nowfees under the guidance of the Eastern Province Governor Rohitha Bogollagama sponsored by Eastern Province Tourism Bureau and more than 21 Men’s teams and seven Women’s teams took part in this tournament and the champions team and the runner’s up teams have been selected for the forthcoming Eastern Province Governor Rohitha Bogollagama Cup Beach Volleyball Tournament 2018.
Eastern Province Governor Rohitha Bogollagama launched a programme to develop the tourism and sports activities and also popularize Volleyball in the Eastern Province.
The Secretary to the Eastern Province Governors’ J.S.D.M.Asanka Abeywardena participated as the chief guest.
