Nabbed with knife near exam centre

Tissamaharama Police arrested a teenager for possessing a knife, near a school which was a GCE O/L examination centre, in Tissamaharama, on Wednesday.

The suspect is an 18-year-old resident of the Debarawewa area in Tissamaharama.

Undercover sleuths were deployed near examination centres and some of them apprehended the youth and seized the knife, according to the Tangalle Police.

The suspect is to be produced before the Tissamaharama Magistrate.
