Drug dealer possessing heroin arrested

Marawila Police arrested a 25-year-old youth possessing 5 grams of heroin worth Rs.150,000, last Sunday.

The suspect, a resident of Marawila, had been dealing drugs to other youths in the locality in the guise of a vegetable seller.

Investigations are continuing. Police had arrested 4,268 drug dealers and drug addicts in Kurunegala and Puttalam during the past nine months, a senior police chief in Kurunegala told the Daily News yesterday.
