The applications for Sri Lanka Tourism Awards 2018 will be closed on September 26, the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) said.
The event, which will take place this year following a six year hiatus, will celebrate the achievements of Sri Lanka’s tourism industry stakeholders, while recognizing their contributions to uplift the industry standards. The awards are presented under 11 categories - including General Awards, Tourist Accommodation, Tourist Restaurants, Travel and Tourism Operators, Airlines - Contribution to Tourism, MICE Tourism, Marketing Communication, Provincial Tourism Project, Tourism Education & Training, Tourism Attractions & Events and Excellence in Service.
SLTDA said 72 best performers Under these categories would be felicitated at the awards ceremony, held under the patronage of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, on December 06.
