Softwave Group of Companies, re-launched their Newsletter ‘Clips’, at a ceremony held at its Head Office building at Havelock Road, Timbirigasyaya recently.
The Group Head of Operations and Administration Ousman Jayah presented the first copies of the ‘Clips’ Newsletter to the Chairman of the Group of Companies Dharmawardena Kariyawasam and Managing Director Chaminda Kariyawasam.
General Manager-Printing Krishantha Rajapaksha and General Manager Marketing Mahesh Karangoda ,Consultant Lasantha Ferdinando graced the occasion, employees representing different companies were also present at the occasion.
Softwave was established in 1988 initially as a photocopying business but within a short period ventured into the printing trade and established its name, catering to Government Departments, State Corporations, Corporates in the Private Sector as well as individual Authors and Writers who desire fast, precise and quality printing.
The company press is situated at Battaramulla and is equipped with modern printing machinery capable of meeting any type of digital or off-set printing. Added to the company’s assets at its second Printing Complex at Pepiliyana, is the latest 4-High Ronald Web Off-Set Printing Machine which is known for clarity and precision. The Web Off-Set Machine serves the purpose of printing school text books.
The Second Edition of the Softwave ‘Clips ‘ Newsletter with a new outlook, gives coverage to variety of subjects.
Speaking on the occasion, Group Head of Operations and Administration Ousman Jayah stated that the Softwave organization has placed another step forward with the re-launching of the ‘Clips’ Newsletter after a lay-off period.
He underlined the fact that good communication and rapport with all employees in any organization is of paramount importance, and that the ‘Clips’ Newsletter is clearly one stream which manifests in this task. He thanked the Editor Hiran De Saram, the Editorial Committee, contributors, as well as all others responsible for their untiring efforts and endeavours in bringing out a good publication, in ‘Clips’.
Managing Directorof the organization Chaminda Kariyawasam said that he was glad that an effort has been made by the Editorial Committee to re-launch the ‘Clips’ Newsletter once again.
The previous ‘Clips ‘ Editor, General Manager-Production Krishantha Rajapaksha expressed his happiness at the re-launching of ‘Clips’ after a long break.
General Manager-Marketing Mahesh Karangoda said that he was happy to see ‘Clips’ being published. He reminisced that he was very surprised to see the first issue of ‘Clips’.
