Vivekanandan elected Life Member of SLDCA

Well known former deaf sports star Shivantha Vivekanandan was elected as first Hony. Life Member, SLDCA at the Sri Lanka Deaf Cricket Association annual General Meeting, held recently at the De Soysa Stadium, Moratuwa. He who is an outstanding personality, was the President, Sri Lanka Deaf Cricket Association from 2007 to 2015 (8 years) where he played a major role in promoting the leather ball tournaments, organised by Sri Lanka Cricket as well as the foreign tours to play cricket matches in the Deaf Cricket Asia Cup Tournaments.

He attended the Deaf International Cricket Council Annual General Meetings at Dubai in 2013 and Sri Lanka in 2017 where he was selected a committee member DICC.

He was Senior Vice Chairman Asia Deaf Cricket Council for 4 years from 2013 to 2016. He is current consultant for the Sri Lanka Deaf Cricket Association, Ratmalana from 2000 up to date where he uplifted standard of the deaf school.

The office bearers of the Sri Lanka Deaf Cricket Association were elected for the years 2018-2020. The SLDCA was founded in 1995.
