Hard-core criminal arrested in Ja-Ela

A person allegedly involved in several large-scale organised crimes was arrested in the Ja-Ela area yesterday by the Police Special Task Force. The suspect, Ashan Kumara alias Raththa, a resident of Kotugoda, Ja-Ela, was arrested with a live hand grenade and 8 grams 400 miligrams of heroin, police said

He was handed over to the Organized Crimes Investigation Division, for further investigations, police said.
