President inspects houses built for Aranayake landslide victims

President Maithripala Sirisena inspected the housing complex constructed for the victims of the Aranayake landslide of Mawanella on Monday.

The housing complex was constructed at Ruwandeniya village of Aranayake under the financial aid of the Chinese government.

After inspecting the housing project, the President spoke to the victims and villagers of the area. The victims of the Aranayake landslide praised the President for taking timely measures to assist them when they were in a helpless situation.

They also highlighted that they are lucky to live in a house with all facilities due to the mediation of the President.

Aranayake Divisional Secretary Z. A. N. Faizal handed over a memento to the President.

Ministers Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, Duminda Dissanayake and Kabir Hashim, and Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Cheng Xueyuan were also present.
