The much-awaited ‘Kaala’ starring Superstar Rajinikanth is all set to hit screens on June 7. As per the latest reports, the runtime of ‘Kaala’ is locked for 166 minutes, which runs for about two hours and 46 minutes.
Interestingly, ‘Kaala’ is slightly longer than Pa Ranjith’s previous outing ‘Kabali’, which was locked for 152 minutes. The film’s release was postponed due to the month-long strike in Kollywood.
The US release of the film will be on June 7. ‘Kaala’ will be released in three languages- Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. MM Media which is releasing the film in the US posted on their micro-blogging page that this will be the Rajinikanth biggest release in the country.
Directed by Pa Ranjith, ‘Kaala’ will have Rajinikanth playing a gangster, while actor Nana Patekar will play the main antagonist.
The film is set in Dharavi. ‘Kaala’ is tipped to be a gangster drama, which will see Rajinikanth fighting the rights of Tamils in the film. The film is produced by Wunderbar Films. The star cast also includes Huma Qureshi, Nana Patekar, Eswari Rao, Samuthirakani and Anjali Patil. TNN
