In response to the rainfall, the National Building Research Organization (NBRO) has issued a landslide warning for the following districts: Kalutara, Kegalle, Nuwara Eliya, Badulla, Kurunegala, and Galle. Further, the Disaster Management Center (DMC) has cautioned that water levels are rising in Millakandu Kalu, Gin Rivers, and Aththanagalu Oya, and has advised people downstream to be vigilant.
