Polish Ambassador calls on Foreign Affairs State Minister

Polish Ambassador to Sri Lanka Adam Burakowski called on Foreign Affairs State Minister Vasantha Senanayake on Wednesday (11), after presenting credentials to President Maithripala Sirisena. State Minister Senanayake, who visited Poland in February for bilateral political consultations, stated that he had witnessed potential for further strengthening ties between Sri Lanka and Poland. He had observed Poland's political and economic importance due to its central location in Europe.

The Polish Ambassador stated that trade relations between the two countries were booming and that Poland was keen on exploring opportunities in manufacturing industries such as shipyards. A Sri Lanka-Poland Business Association was launched in February, following bilateral political consultations.
