Blue Ocean to launch more Condo projects

Due to rapid development projects carried out in Western Province, value of properties had tremendously increased, said Chairman Blue Ocean Group, Group, S Thumilan.

“The open economy policy had inspired a large number of local and international investors to invest in real estate as investment in this sector promises better dividends than the traditional savings at banks or financial institutions.

He said to meet this demand; Blue Ocean Group will be embarking on several new apartment projects in Colombo.

Currently the Group is also involved in five projects located in the highly residential and prominent areas of Havelock Road, Colombo 05, Moor's Road - Colombo 06, De Alwis Place, Dehiwala, Beach Road - Mount Lavinia and Lillilan Avenue, Mount Lavinia. The investment for these will exceed Rs. 3 billion.

Blue Ocean Group had also undertaken four more sky scrapers in Wellawatta, Kollupitiya and Colombo 5 areas and planning to complete them within the next couple of months and ready for occupation.

In addition to its base in Sri Lanka, Blue Ocean Group had extended its operations to other countries as well. “Currently we have branch offices in Australia, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates and Canada and plans are under study to open up more offices in other parts of the world in the near future.”
