Bananas have been successfully harvested in Puttalam Zahira National College under the ‘School Garden’ concept.
The GCE A/L Arts students of the 2017 batch had selected banana plantation for their group project. The project reports on the projects that are conducted by such kind of plantations are sent to the Education Ministry annually.
The banana hands which were harvested on March 23rd were handed over to the school Principal S A C Yahkoob and the deputy Principal H A Jabbar by the sectional head of the GCE A/L classes M F M Humayoon.
While commenting on the subject the sectional head M F M Humayoon said that last year the students selected beetroot plantation. That too was successfully harvested by the students.
