JEFFREY DUJON OUT FOR 0 IN LAST MATCH
One of the finest wicketkeepers, Jeffrey Dujon had an excellent Test career, in which he scored over 3,000 runs from 81 Tests. he was also part of 272 dismissals behind the wickets. In his final match against England at The Oval, Dujon was out for a golden duck in the first innings. Following on, Dujon made 5 in the second innings, but England ended up winning the match by 5 wickets.
DON BRADMAN OUT FOR 0 IN LAST MATCH
One of the all time greats Don Bradman had a near perfect Test career. However, Bradman in his final Test innings needed jut 4 runs to have an average of 100. He was bowled for 0 and his average of 99.94 still happens to be a world record, 7 decades after the great man played his last game.
SHIVNARINE CHANDERPAUL OUT FOR 0 IN LAST MATCH
With an experience of 164 Tests for West Indies, Shivnarine Chanderpaul was never given the kind of farewell he deserved. He has 11,867 runs to his name and was just 86 runs behind Brian Lara in the list. In the third and final Test against England, Chanderpaul scored 25 in the first innings, but was out for a duck in the second innings. However, West Indies won the match by 5 wickets.
TILLAKARATNE DILSHAN OUT FOR 0 IN LAST MATCH
In his final Test for Sri Lanka, Tillakaratne Dilshan was dismissed for a duck in the first innings and managed 57 in the second innings in the first Test against Bangladesh in 2013. Sri Lanka went on to win the match by 7 wickets. Dilshan ended his Test career with 5,492 runs at 40.98, which included 16 hundreds and 23 fifties. What was even more staggering was that he scored his runs with a strike rate of 65.54 in his 87 Tests.
BRIAN LARA OUT FOR 0 IN LAST MATCH
West Indies great Brian Lara used to be a treat to watch when he got going. In the third Test against Pakistan at Karachi in 2006, captain Lara was dismissed for a 2-ball duck in the first innings, but managed 49 in the second innings — his final Test innings. However, West Indies lost the Test 199 runs and series as well.
SOURAV GANGULY OUT FOR 0 IN LAST MATCH
Sourav Ganguy needs no introduction. From scoring a century on debut to leading the team in time of trouble, Dada has done everything. In the 4th Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2008-09 against Australia, Ganguly started off well with a well crafted 85. However, in the second innings, his fans tasted disappointment as Ganguly was out for a golden duck off debutant Jason Krejza's bowling.
GRAEME HICK OUT FOR 0 IN LAST MATCH
Zimbabwe-born England middle-order batsman Graeme Hick played 65 matches for his team and scored 3,383 runs. Although England tasted victory in his last match, Hick personally did not have a good match. In the second Test against Sri Lanka at Kandy in 2011, Hich was out for a duck in the first innings but made 16 in the second. England won the match by 3 wickets.
IMRAN KHAN OUT FOR 0 IN LAST MATCH
Imran Khan brought an end his 88-Test career in a match against Sri Lanka at Faisalabad. In 1992, Imran made 22 in the first innings and was dismissed for a duck in the second. Pakistan ended up winning a close contest by 3 wickets.
VINOO MANKAD OUT FOR 0 IN LAST MATCH
Vinoo Mankad was once involved in a world record stand for the highest opening partnership but did not have the best of games in his final Test, which came against West Indies at Delhi. Mankad scored 21 in the first innings, but in the second innings, he was dismissed for a duck Collie Smith. – Topbuzz
