Traffic hampered in Town Hall owing to protest

Traffic around Town hall is reportedly hampered due to a protest launched by university students.

The protest is in demand of the abolition of the South Asian Institue of Technology and Medicine (SAITM) in Malabe.

Commuters are advised to use alternate routes to ease traffic.

Why is govt. so stubborn. H.E abolished SAITM and said all students will complete medical training and register. Income cut off, Dr. Neville cant carry on. With responsibility and accountability as an Executive govt. protecting its citizens, what is the difficulty to absorb into Moratuwa uni which asked for a Medical Faculty until MBBS is complete as Malabe campus. Otherwise reestablish so that SAITM can continue keeping its staff who need to be paid salaries. Absorb staff and students to correct the blunder govt. did to innocent SAITM students
