Protest against assault of Akuressa DS

A silent protest was held opposite the Akuressa main bus stand condemning the attack on officials including the Akuressa Divisional Secretary.

All staff of the Akuressa Divisional Secretariat, Samurdhi Development Officers and field officers vacated duty and participated in the protest. Samurdhi banks were also closed.

The protesters' requests are to arrest the person involved in the assault on the Divisional Secretary and causing damage to the property of the state.
