The annual SLT SILK Sports Awards 2017 organized by SPORTSINFO, Sri Lanka’s premier sports promotion network and sponsored by Sri Lanka Telecom was held recently at the BMICH.
Sports Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara was the chief guest while Petroleum Resources Development Minister, 1996 World Cup winning captain Arjuna Ranatunga and Prof. Carlo Fonseka participated as the guests of honour.
The event is organized for the third consecutive year with the objective of appreciating those who contributed to sports in the past years and the greats of the game and those unsung heroes behind the scenes is the main target of this year’s event.
