The Makandura – Badalgama road will be closed commencing from November 24 until May 25, next year due to constructions.
The Police urged commuters to use the following alternate routes:
Vehicles travelling towards Makandura:
Vehicles travelling from Giriulla are required to turn right from the Mawanella junction to enter into Makandura, across Pannala.
Vehicles travelling from Katana, Negombo and Maradagahamulla are also required to turn right from the Mawanella junction to enter into Makandura, across Pannala.
Vehicles travelling towards Badalgama:
Vehicles travelling from Makandura to Badalgama can reach to Badalgama through Mallawagedara junction from Pannala.
Vehicles travelling from Kuliyapitiya and Giriulla could also reach to Badalgama through Mallawagedara junction from Pannala.
