Ten years for robbing motorcycle

A man was sentenced to ten years for robbing a motorcycle, after a 13 year trial.

Panadura Provincial High Court Judge Padmin Ranawaka Gunatilleke sentenced Milan Maduranga Mesthrige to ten years imprisonment with a fine of Rs 10,000 and six months imprisonment in default.

Mesthrige was found guilty of committing a robbery of a motorcycle from Mohammed Isthiyar of Ambalanduwa on December 28, 2003.The trial held for 13 years was concluded by the judge yesterday.
