Prostitution ring busted

Three women were arrested for prostituting and two men for helping them.

The Police had raided two places in Mahiyanganaya on Tuesday (10) evening and arrested two women from Awissawella and Dehiaththakandiya on charges of prostitution, along with a man who had employed them, a source said.

The Police party conducted the raids with the permission of the Mahiyanganaya Magistrate Court and arrested a woman from Rajagiriya, allegedly in the prostitution trade, the source added.
