Dengue control programmes to be launched in several provinces

Health Minister Rajitha Senaratne has notified the National Dengue Control Unit to launch dengue control programmes swiftly in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, North Western and Northern provinces due to the prevailing weather condition.

The Minister said that dengue is in the risk to rise again in the mentioned provinces due to the prevailing rainy conditions.

The Dengue Control Unit urged the public to be swift to seek medication if any individual is contaminated with a fever.
