Dictatorship of noise

Robert Cardinal Sarah is the Prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Sacraments. He is a black Guinean Cardinal who suffered many years in prison under the dictatorship of Seiko Tore. He is the author of many books. His recent is the book Power of Silence Against the Dictatorship of Noise which has an Afterword by Pope Benedict XVI.

The book arose from Cardinal Sarah's silent friendship with Brother Vincent, a white, young, Carthusian monk who was stricken with multiple sclerosis and accepted God's silent will. The book brought to mind the noise that we hear today without waiting for the per curiam judgement (Latin by the court is a phrase used to distinguish an opinion of the whole court from an opinion written by any one judge) of a duly appointed court. The loudest noise comes from the man who recently admitted that he has no qualms about selling the duty-free car he gets as an Assembly man, and pocketing the massive margin when the poor are called upon to pay a duty for every cup of tea he drinks. Why a court is not appointed to look into these rip-offs, costing the taxpayer millions more than isolated scams, rattles the mind? What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.

The culture of today is not the same as yesterday. A wife with a large portfolio of shares is likely to approach the hedge fund manager for advice than the husband.
