Neville Fernando Hospital ownership vested with the government

Agreements to transfer the ownership of the Neville Fernando Teaching Hospital to the government were signed before President Maithripala Sirisena a short while ago.

The Teaching Hospital will officially open on August 01, this year.

Health Minister Rajitha Senaratne said that once the ownership of the hospital is transferred, patients will be provided quality health service for free.

We need to appreciate Dr. Neville's generosity. A turbulent and winding upward path it became. Eternal values cannot be destroyed and resurrection on a higher level takes place when doors open on August 1st Now health ministry must network all the surrounding govt. hospitals into a massive teaching complex par excellence of even post graduate sub specialties. When envisioning not just a teaching hospital but also the Adam\s Peak apex and summit, let its doors open on 1st of August to free flowing national healing ministry.
