Intruder stabs young couple; husband dies on way to hospital

A person who entered a house at Dadella, Galle in the wee hours of yesterday morning had reportedly stabbed a young couple causing injuries to both.

“The husband succumbed while being taken to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital and the 34-year-old wife is being treated at the hospital,” Police said.

The dead man was identified as Aluthbandarage Shantha Premalal (36) of Dadella,Galle.

Galle Police have already arrested a suspect in connection with the incident.
