The Eastern Provincial Council's decision to the Special Development Bill will be announced after a vote, Eastern Chief Minister Hafiz Nazeer Ahmed said.
He told a media briefing that all Provincial Council members’ opinion to the Special Development Bill will be important.
Ahmed said he and his members couldn't concentrate on the Special Development Bill due to the budget of the Eastern Province for 2017.
The Chief Minister said since a stand on the Special Development Bill needed some time, he will have a discussion with the members on December 30 and announce the Provincial Council's decision.
Speaking on the Eastern province budget for 2017, Ahmed said there is a 53 percent finance deduction compared to last year, hence a massive crisis has occurred and affected the development process of the province.
"Therefore we have been working to obtain financial allocations for the development of the province. We hope the President and the Prime Minister will support us in this regard," Ahmed said. "We have already started discussions with the Prime Minister about this issue."
