European Union’s assistance for investment promotion in Sri Lanka

The European Union (EU) has pledged to assist Sri Lanka in its investment promotion drive. The EU has pledged to extend its assistance to promote investment in Sri Lanka under the current government’s set economic development programme which has been proposed by the budget 2017, EU Ambassador to Sri Lanka Tung-Lai Margue said.

The EU Ambassador announced this when he met Finace Minister Ravi Karunanayake last Friday at the Finance Ministry. Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake who hailed the constant assistance extended to Sri Lanka by the EU for investment promotion said that such assistance would always strengthen the understanding between Sri Lanka and the European Union.
