A man who impersonated as Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake on Facebook was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department yesterday.
The man produced before the Fort Magistrate was remanded until October 27.
The suspect is said to have created and run a Facebook account using details of Karunanayake to defraud unsuspected victims.
D.M.R. Sagara Diyagama, 33, of Pelmadulla was arrested following an impersonation complaint lodged by Minister Karunanayake.
