Daraz forays into Sri Lankan e-commerce market with Kaymu

Pakistani e-commerce giant Daraz announced its foray into the Sri Lankan market and its merger with popular online market place Kaymu to tap growth potentials in the local e-commerce space.

Commenting on the concept behind Daraz’s foray into Sri Lanka,Daraz Sri Lanka Country

Manager Saurabh Chauhan said on line sales in Sri Lanka are picking up very fast and due to this the country has become one of the fastest growing on-line shopping markets in Asia.

“The current e-commerce market in Sri Lanka stands around Rs. 25 million or 1% of the total trade and is projected to grow about 3% in the future .”

Daraz is here to tap the growing market potential in the local e-commerce space and aims to make the most of emerging trends in these market and become the market leader by providing the Sri Lankan market with an unparalleled customer service and 100 per cent genuine products like all

other operating markets.

Daraz will roll out several campaigns such as quarterly mega campaigns and monthly discount campaigns and many others to provide best deals for Sri Lankan customers.

Daraz is currently present in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Myanmar and Sri Lanka will be the fourth destination that Daraz has expanded its presencein the south Asian region.
