With the lifestyle of people, the town and of course the era we live in changing and growing as we speak, it’s no wonder the property development in Colombo also is rising to the change and growth. One such development that is building a city of its own to accomadate all the needs of this growing market is Cinnamon Life. Cinnamon Life at a recent media briefing highlighted the launch of their second residential tower which has already shown 15% sales from very enthusiastic parties.

“We started this project two years ago with the first tower. The Suites at Cinnamon Life which is the second residential tower that will be begin construction is a four and half million acre project. This is being designed by globally renowned Architect, Artist and Engineer Cecil Balmond with the contract for the project been headed by Hyundai Engineering & Construction”, Property Group at JKH Chief Marketing Officer/Executive Vice President Roshanie Jayasundera Moraes said at a press briefing held last week.

“Speaking of the composition of the project, we have an 800 room hotel which will be Cinnamon owned and managed by us. As you know Colombo lacks coinfereincing facilities catering the mass market. This is where we will be creating ballroom and conference facilities that can hold up to 4900pax in three different locations. There will also be a international standard shopping mall of 500,000 square feet which will be very different from your normal shopping experience. It will be mainly on entertainment plus we will make it an F&B hub for Colombo. In other words we would like to make it the culinary capital of Colombo”, Roshanie went on to add.

With the entertainment they hope to provide there, it will act as a magnet drawing people into the location, into the city hopefully from the rest of the country and region. The Two Towers are the residential towers and Tower 1 has been in the market for a while now with over 50% of sales already made in there. Having a success from Tower 1, they decided it was time to bring about the construction of Tower 2 and bring it to the market.

Thew difference with the Suites is that they have designed it in such a way which is almost like an investment level. All 192 apartments are 2-bedroom ones with the exception of the four top units which will be penthouses with the sea view just over the Taj. Another investment instrument they brought to the market along with the two residential towers is their Office tower. For the first time they are offering investment opportunities for the commercial space which has been this far available on rental basis with the exception of one or two floored in some other development. But this 30 storey office tower will have the top half available for sale and half of that has already been sold.

The Suite will include facilities such a swimming pool, gymnasium, steam and sauna rooms and a landscaped podium and roof-top featuring breath-taking views of the island’s commercial capital. At the press conference they also launched the ‘Cinnamon Life Show Apartment’, enabling prospective buyers to gain a first-hand look at the stylish designs and amenities being built into its residential towers.
