All Ceylon Teachers Union protest in Colombo

 

The All Ceylon Teachers Union (ACTU) is currently protesting on York Street, Colombo Fort.

Their agitation has caused traffic congestion and road barriers have been placed to ease the situation.

All Teachers Union Joseph Stalin told Daily News Online that the protest was to demand a Rs. 6,000 allowance for teachers, and also to recruit more teachers for the Grade 01 stream.
