Collision kills two students, injures another

Two school students died and another critically injured when the motorcycle they were travelling collided with a lorry near Selvanagar lagoon in Serunuwara yesterday.

Two students aged 15, studying at the Selvanagar school had died on the spot while another student aged 16, seriously injuried, was admitted to Muttur hospital. All three were not wearing helmets at the time of the accident.

The motorcycle had come from a by-road and collided head on with the lorry which was travelling from Trincomalee to Selvanagar.

Serunuwara Police is investigating.
