Lanka has opened its doors to world in maritime sector - Nilay Jhaveri

Sri Lanka has opened its doors to the world in the maritime sector by organizing the Colombo International Maritime Conference for the second time, said Director Syscon Infotech Pvt. Ltd., Nilay Jhaveri speaking to Daily News Business at the second Colombo International Maritime Conference (CIMC) 2016 in Colombo recently.

“This is a very good opportunity for the Sri Lankan shipping and logistic sectors to get more business, more exposure and to get the latest solutions from international companies to grow further. This is my first visit to Sri Lanka and I feel that I should have visited this country sometime back because I see a lot of business opportunities in this country when it comes to shipping and logistic and other sectors,” he said.

“We are from a top IT solutions company from India and we find that Sri Lanka needs IT solutions to move forward. I see that business opportunities lie in Colombo,” he said. “I came to Sri Lanka two days prior to the conference and I was surprised to see that I got more than fifteen appointments from Sri Lankan companies. We have already forwarded our proposals and the outcome was very positive. We are going to sign contracts with some leading shipping and logistic companies here soon. When it comes to business with Sri Lanka, we can see that it is very fruitful,” he said. “We are targeting and to have more presence in Sri Lanka and African countries. If things work out well here in Sri Lanka, we will definitely open our branch office in Colombo soon,” he said.

“We have software solutions for small and large companies in India and overseas. We have expanded our services to every corner of India and have provided software solutions to 22 countries. Our main software users are from USA, UK, Italy, China, Hong Kong, Dubai, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Sri Lanka,” he said. “We are specialized in logistics software solutions for the last two decades and presently we have users in 22 countries, they are using our softwares.They range from shipping agents to NVOCC, freight forwarders, 3 PL and 4 PL companies, they are using our software solutions at the moment. Our software is a comprehensive ERP which is multilingual, multi model and multi-currency capability. It is on a cloud platform,” he said.
