Abuse of female students in Hantana: second suspect surrenders

The second suspect, wanted in connection with the abuse of female students of ‘Leadership Training Academy in Hantane, Kandy was ordered to be remanded till today.

Second suspect, Nimal Nishantha Peiris, a leading businessman in the area was arrested by the OIC of the Child and Women's Bureau of the Kandy Police Station IP Ayesha Bandara when he surrendered to the police yesterday morning.

Main suspect, Chandimal Gamage was arrested and remanded a few days back.

Kandy Police is investigating.
