Eastern University non-academic staff protest

The non-academic staff of the Eastern University staged a protest demonstration opposite the faculty of Aesthetic studies in Nochchimunai, Batticaloa yesterday.

Protesters demanded the increase of medical compensation allowance, EPF/ETF and productive pension scheme, revision of the pensionable age to 60 years and issue parallel circular of 2016 government salary scheme for all state universities. The same protest was held during the last two days opposite of the Eastern University at Chenkalady.
