Prisoners on strike demanding bail

 Thirty six prison inmates who were imprisoned over charges of smuggling and peddling of drugs yesterday started a hunger strike demanding the authorities to make arrangements to get them bail soon.

However, the number of prison inmates involved in the fast, dropped to 18 as half of them left the stir, Prisons Department sources told the Daily News.
