Stones hurled at bus, three injured

Three passengers were injured and admitted to the Arayampadi Hospital when some unidentified persons hurled stones at a SLTB bus plying from Kalmunai to Jaffna at Thalanguda around 8.00 p.m. on Tuesday.

The injured were later transferred in a serious condition to the Batticaloa Hospital. The bus belonged to the Valachchenai SLTB depot.

The bus conductor alleged that private bus crew might have a hand in the incident.

Several other passengers too received minor injuries while the bus was also damaged.

Kattankudy Police are investigating.
