Wall collapses killing sleeping child

 

 A six-year-old girl died when the house of a wall collapsed on her while she was sleeping at night yesterday.

The deceased was identified as D.M.K.Isuru Priyanganee of Telambugalla, Ridigama.

The autopsy was conducted by Dr. S.M Samarakon of Ridigama Hospital who said that the death was due to shock and head injuries.

The deceased's grandmother Bandara Menike gave evidence.

The inquirer recorded verdict of accidental death.

Meanwhile, a three wheeler driver died after he was knocked down by a luxury bus along the Colombo - Kurunegala main road at Pothuhera yesterday.

The victim from Pothuhera, Kukulnape died on admission to the Kurunegala Teaching Hospital.

The bus driver is in police custody.

Pothuhera Police are investigating.
